Our chefs are passionate about using local and seasonal produce to create delicious enjoyable food.

“I like to know exactly where my ingredients come from and how they are produced,” says sous chef Darren Monks, who has worked in the best restaurants in the Harrogate area over the last 16 years. “This is key to the end quality of the food, mindful of the environment and supportive of local businesses.”

Head chef Richard Wright agrees: “There’s no need to fly strawberries half way around the world just to garnish a dessert,” he says. “The food grown in Britain is the best in the world if used at the appropriate times of the year.”

Richard’s passion for food has been nurtured in some of the UK’s top kitchens. Training in Harrogate and working for Rick Hodgson before moving south to enhance his trade, he worked in gastro pubs throughout Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

At the original gastro pub, The Crooked Billet in Stoke Row, he cooked for celebrities like Oasis, Kate Winslet and The Blairs and now he and Darren wants to share their vision with the most important guests of all: you and your family, friends and significant others.

Our restaurant accommodates 50+ people for a sit-down meal and up to 120 for a buffet.
